Fireworks Shipping Information & Restrictions

Important Purchaser Notice

By placing an order with American Wholesale Fireworks, the purchaser acknowledges and agrees that they are solely responsible for determining whether the products purchased may legally be purchased, possessed, stored, transported, resold, and/or used in their state, county, municipality, and local jurisdiction.

The purchaser represents and warrants that they are at least eighteen (18) years of age and that they will comply with all applicable federal, state, county, municipal, and local laws, regulations, ordinances, permit requirements, and fire codes.

The purchaser further acknowledges that American Wholesale Fireworks does not provide legal advice and makes no representation regarding the legality of any product in any particular jurisdiction. The purchaser assumes full responsibility for obtaining any licenses, permits, approvals, inspections, or authorizations required by law.

American Wholesale Fireworks reserves the right to refuse, delay, cancel, or deny shipment of any order if legality, permit requirements, age verification, regulatory compliance, or shipping eligibility cannot be verified to its satisfaction.

1.3G Commercial Grade Fireworks

Due to federal transportation regulations and carrier restrictions, 1.3G commercial-grade fireworks are not eligible for shipment through standard LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight carriers.

All 1.3G commercial-grade fireworks must be picked up from an approved American Wholesale Fireworks location.

Our primary warehouse is located in Hudson, Ohio. Additional pickup locations may be available in Arkansas and Florida. Please contact your sales representative regarding availability, pricing, and pickup arrangements.

Holiday Shipping Deadlines

Independence Day (July 4th)

To guarantee shipment before Independence Day, orders should be placed no later than June 20th.

Orders received after June 20th may still be shipped; however, delivery cannot be guaranteed. Due to increased seasonal freight volume, transit times may be extended.

Customers are strongly encouraged to order early to allow sufficient time for shipment, inspection, and resolution of any freight-related issues.

New Year's Holiday

To guarantee shipment before New Year's, orders should be placed no later than December 18th.

Orders received after December 18th may still be shipped; however, delivery cannot be guaranteed. Seasonal freight delays may affect transit times.

Customers are encouraged to order early to ensure adequate delivery time before the holiday.

Shipping Options

Business Delivery (Recommended)

Delivery to a commercial business address is generally the fastest and most cost-effective shipping option.

Residential Delivery

Residential deliveries may be subject to additional carrier fees.

For purposes of freight delivery, a residential address includes homes, apartments, condominiums, and businesses operating from residential properties.

Freight carriers may independently classify certain addresses as residential, even if a business operates at that location.

Additional residential delivery charges assessed by the freight carrier will be the responsibility of the purchaser and must be paid prior to shipment.

Residential deliveries may require an appointment and may extend delivery times by one or more business days.

A responsible adult must be present to accept and sign for the shipment.

If the purchaser is unavailable at the scheduled delivery time, the freight carrier may assess redelivery, storage, or other service fees. Any such fees shall be the sole responsibility of the purchaser.

Terminal Pickup

Orders may be delivered to a local freight terminal for customer pickup when available.

The purchaser is responsible for retrieving the shipment within the timeframe established by the freight carrier.

Warehouse Pickup

Warehouse pickup is available at no additional charge.

Additional Shipping Information

All consumer fireworks are shipped via ground freight carrier (LTL Freight).

Shipping rates are calculated based on shipment weight, dimensions, freight classification, destination, fuel surcharges, and carrier pricing at the time of shipment.

Larger orders generally result in a lower shipping cost per case due to freight efficiencies.

Estimated transit times are typically 5–7 business days after shipment; however, transit times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

American Wholesale Fireworks may require address verification prior to shipment.

Orders may be delayed or placed on hold until address verification is successfully completed.

The purchaser must provide a valid and accessible telephone number for freight carrier scheduling and delivery communications.

Failure to respond to carrier communications may result in shipment delays, storage fees, redelivery fees, or returned shipments. Any such charges shall be the responsibility of the purchaser.

Lift Gate Service

If a lift gate is required for delivery, additional charges imposed by the freight carrier will be billed directly to the purchaser.

Many shipments can be unloaded without lift gate service, which may reduce freight costs.

State Shipping Restrictions

If your state is unavailable as a shipping destination during checkout, please contact an American Wholesale Fireworks representative.

Shipping restrictions may result from state laws, local regulations, permit requirements, carrier restrictions, or other legal limitations.

The availability of a shipping option does not constitute a representation that products may legally be possessed, transported, stored, resold, or used within a particular jurisdiction. Determining legality remains solely the responsibility of the purchaser.

Shipment Inspection & Freight Claims

The purchaser must inspect all shipments immediately upon delivery and before signing the carrier's Bill of Lading or delivery receipt.

Before signing:

  • Verify the number of cases received.
  • Inspect cartons for visible damage.
  • Confirm that the shipment matches the delivery paperwork.
  • Note any shortages, damages, missing cartons, or discrepancies.

Any damage, shortage, or discrepancy must be clearly documented on the carrier's Bill of Lading at the time of delivery.

Failure to document damage or shortages at delivery may result in denial of any freight claim, refund, replacement, adjustment, or credit.

American Wholesale Fireworks shall not be responsible for damage, shortages, or discrepancies that are not documented on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery.

Any freight claim must be reported to American Wholesale Fireworks within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery and must include:

  • Photographs of the damaged products
  • Photographs of packaging materials
  • Photographs of shipping labels
  • A copy of the signed delivery receipt or Bill of Lading
  • Any additional information reasonably requested

Failure to provide complete documentation within forty-eight (48) hours may result in denial of the claim.

American Wholesale Fireworks reserves the right to determine whether a claim qualifies for replacement, credit, refund, or other remedy.
