About the Western Pyrotechnic Association
The Western Pyrotechnic Association was founded in 1989 by a group of pyrotechnic enthusiasts who wanted to create a West Coast organization where people could share their passion for fireworks.
Inspired by organizations such as the PGI, the founders envisioned a network of friends who could gather for events that were both educational and entertaining.
Since then, the WPA has grown far beyond its original West Coast roots and now includes members from around the world.
Its mission continues to center around education, friendship, pyrotechnic knowledge, responsible practices, and a shared love of fireworks.

Participation in the Western WinterBlast convention is primarily available to WPA members and eligible family members.
For those interested in experiencing the organization before becoming a member, the WPA offers a Sponsored Guest program, providing a "try it before you buy it" opportunity to experience the pyrotechnic community firsthand.

Public Fireworks Shows
While convention participation is limited, the spectacular Western WinterBlast public fireworks shows can be enjoyed by the general public.
